Money articles are those that make money online, and it is possible to submit articles that both provide information to the reader and also make you money. Article submission to the top article directories is one of the best ways to make money online, particularly if you have a website that you want to promote.

This article is intended to explain to you how to make money online using article submission to publish the right type of articles that are designed to make you money. Unless you are promoting a website offering a product from which you can make money, there is little point in submitting articles to directories, because the whole point of article submission is to publicize the website URL to the readers of your article. You do that from the ‘author’s resource’ section of the article, which might be a separate box provided for the purpose or simply a paragraph added to the end of your article.

In order to be defined as such, money articles are written in a specific way to attract visitors to your website. Or let me rephrase that: to ‘A’ website. It is possible to make money using article marketing without having a website at all.

The way to do that is write an article stating how important it is to have a product such as that you are promoting. In order to make you money articles must be convincing, and persuade the reader that they should at least have a look at this type of product. You are not permitted to use an article as a sales page, but can convince the reader that they should consider having this new product and so persuade them to click on the link provided in your resource.

In order to achieve any of that you must write the article in a specific way, so here are some tips on how to achieve that:

The Headline

In order to make money articles must have a compelling headline – I prefer ‘headline’ to ‘title’, because it is a headline designed to attract attention, and not just a simple title. Article marketing is more than just writing articles, and involves a bit of psychology designed to persuade people to actually read the article you have written.

Your headline is the first part of your article that people will read, and possibly the only part if it is listed in the Google results page for your keyword. If you submit articles they must have a good headline. Some people are surprised when they find out that articles can be listed on Page #1 on Google after they have been submitted to directories. In fact that is one of the major reasons why article submission is so important to me. I have several articles listed on Page #1, and at position #1 on the page, that bring me a lot of free traffic to my site.

The headline must be catchy and compelling. Check out the title of this article ‘Money Articles: Submit Articles and Make Money Online’.

The first part, ‘money articles’, is included only because it is a good keyword, with 300 searches a day on Google alone, and very little competition. So that can get me reads. The rest is designed to get people interested – they can make money by submitting articles. If you submit articles with good keywords and catchy headlines, then you can make money – lots of it.

The Article Body

The body of the article explains what is promised in the headline. This is where you expand on what you have promised in the headline. Money articles should not offer too much information in the body, but should instead explain the meaning of the title and give just a hint of what is promised can be achieved.

You should then offer the rest in your resource, just as I am doing now. This article is about how to learn how to write money articles, and how you can submit articles that can make money online using them. Written correctly, your article can be published in over 100 top articles directories and ezines and attract a lot of readers.

Every one of these can be directed to your website by means of your resource, which, if written correctly, will practically force the reader to make the click. “Is it possible to make money online with no investment?,” those looking to start a new internet based business often ask. Reluctantly I say “yes.” I’m not at all convinced that’s the answer. But if I said “no,” I’d certainly have to listen to a story about someone somebody once heard of who started with a dollar and turned it into a million dollars.

But let’s be real. The chances of you starting an online business with NO money and having internet marketing success are about as good as the chances of you making $20,000 in your first month of your online business.

We’ve all bought at least one “make money online” product. We’ve seen the sales letters packed with testimonials from “real” people just like you and me who made “$12,977 in my first month.”.” But have you EVER experienced such ridiculous immediate results with a make money online product? Unlikely. And similarly, it’s unlikely that you will be able to develop a successful internet business if you have no money to invest up front.

Be prepared to at least pull out your credit card a couple of times. Here’s why. In fact, here’s why you WANT to pull out your credit card a few times.

Let’s first look at the most common “free” way to make money online. You choose a product from Clickbank, create your hoplink, and there you have it — you’re officially an affiliate selling a product that you earn commissions from.

Unfortunately, you can’t sell any of your product without promoting your affiliate link. You might promote your link using free traffic exchanges and classifieds. The most effective way to do it these days is to set up a blog, promote your product on your blog, and drive traffic to your blog through article marketing and web 2.0 tactics. All of this is free.

I just said that you may make a few dollars this way. So why was my initial proposition that the “free” method to make money online doesn’t work? Because if it works at all, it takes FOREVER. And because, really, it only works in theory.

To make money online with no investment requires extraordinary time and effort. You must update your blog daily with good content. You must consistently write articles. You must submit your articles to lots of different directories. You must constantly update your web 2.0 sites. Each of these activities takes time. Together, they take SERIOUS time.

And those you are working to make money online without spending any money upfront generally aren’t able to spend all day working on their online marketing business. More importantly, they don’t have the months it takes to start seeing any money from these methods.

People searching for internet marketing success with no money upfront are often working two jobs, still not making ends meet, and can’t afford to put what they make back into their online marketing business.

This is a big reason internet marketing gets such a bad rap. Those just beginning their online marketing business are sold a lie. That’s why you hear so much skepticism. That’s why there are so many people in the forums in their first few months with an internet based business asking “does this really work?” That’s why everyone in your life laughs at you when you tell them you are trying to make money online.

And, what’s most troubling is that’s why so many people quit their online business, thinking “it doesn’t work.” Because they aren’t told that yes, you can make money online with no investment, but it’s going to take months to do it.

I have a number of free legitimate ideas for making money online that I’ll share with you here and now. There are numerous ways to generate income from websites. There are Adsense and other ad programs, and there is a new audio ads program just coming out. There are of course affiliate programs as well.

But the key to success is to have a website that gets traffic. Without traffic you have nothing. Get enough traffic, and you can sell anything.

I subscribe to the idea that there is no such thing as a free lunch. To be successful requires some work. These money making methods have worked for me and will work for you if you put just a little effort into it. (OK, sometimes it takes a lot of work)

If you are looking for a quick buck, I probably can’t help you…unless you already have a website that gets lots of traffic but doesn’t earn you any money…that situation could produce near instant money.

These methods will work to the degree that you work on them. You can do it part time or full time. I‘ve even built sites while vacationing on a cruise ship. These days high speed internet connections are widely available on most of the cruise ships.

Well what do you know! I just gave you the first idea. Build a website about your vacations, and monetize it. Lots of opportunities here like camping, fishing, hiking, tennis, golf, softball, extreme sports…

Traveling, vacations, cruises, gambling getaways, are all things that people search for online. If you had a great vacation riding dune buggies somewhere in Southern California, then you have a potential for making money from it. If you have tips for golfers or sports fisherman you have potential web sites!

Here is what to do.

Find a subject, do research with keyword research tools online to make sure that people are searching for the kind of information you plan on offering, and get started Build your site with your human visitor in mind. Make it simple, straightforward, easy to navigate, and put in great content. Make sure it’s easy for spiders to follow links to every page.

Pick your title carefully using your most searched for keywords if possible. Make sure you have a good meta description. Put a few keywords in Alt tags for images, but do not overdo it. It’s best it if is real and useful to humans. Formulate and act on a linking strategy. Spell check your work! Be professional and don’t allow errors in grammar, spelling, or punctuation in your text.

Whenever you feel like it you can add a page or two to your site and increase its earning potential. The more you work at it the more you earn. The more good content on your site, the more visitors you will get.

One of the cool things about money making websites is that they just keep on going year after year. Some of my sites make less than $50.00 a month. But they do make money, month after month, and, year after year.

The cost of building and hosting a website is tiny. You can get a domain name for less than $10.00 a year and you can get hosting for about $5.00 a month or less. Unless you are excited by the idea of learning or using HTML, you would need to invest in a WYSWYG editor for building web pages.

I use FrontPage 3000 which I bought about a couple of years ago for a few hundred bucks.

None of this is quick though. It takes time and effort to build a good website. But there are so many online tools available these days that you don’t need to have much in the way of skill or experience to get started and do a decent job.

You will want to promote your site to get traffic. You can issue press releases, write articles and submit them to article directories and blogs. You can start your own blog. There are even submission services online that will write articles and submit them for you. Beware though that you will want to proof read and make corrections to such articles…English is probably not their native tongue.

And offline advertising can be quite effective too.

It also takes a while to get listed in the search engines. It can take up to a year or more for a decent ranking on Google. It also takes time to obtain back links which are important. There are two things that you need to do that most people won’t do in order to succeed at this endeavor.

The first is you must actually start the site, and the other is you must finish it.

You can learn in great detail about any of the things I’ve mentioned by simply doing research. Everything you need to know is on the internet if you look hard enough. You should not have to look hard though.

Since I’ve always been self employed I didn’t have a retirement program. I do now! I have websites that make money. If I stop working, they keep right on sending me monthly checks
